Steak and frites was solid! 10/10 Great coffee. The hospitality was through the roof. Thank you so much Annabelle, for the magnificent birthday brunch. Back for brunch! Our reservation specifically requested a table in the Atrium, but we were led into the dining room. I alerted the hostess of our request, and we were led back to the entrance then taken to the atrium. What's the point of asking us to choose a location while booking if you aren't going to look at it? Our server was very friendly and attentive. However, one of my friends specifically requested crushed red pepper for her Avocado Toast. Two different people (neither was our actual server) came by to clarify the request. It never came. The pastries were outstanding! That Almond Croissant was one of the best I've had outside of Paris. Our server recommended the scone, and all three of us gushed over it: dried cherries with white chocolate... delicious! My two friends said their dishes (Avocado Toast) were "just okay." My sentiments were the same regarding my Caesar salad. It was not as amazing as I'd hoped it would be (alas I must compare all Caesar salads to the masterpiece I've had at another Houston gem. As for atmosphere, the abundant natural light in the atrium, filling the space that feels intimate in square footage but spacious due to soaring ceilings, lends to my favorite kind of place. I did start getting annoyed by the constant posing for photos that just never stopped all around us, inside and outside (it IS listed as one of the most beautiful restaurants in Houston, after all.) Next time, I'll sit with my back towards the dining room... and I'll be sure to try the French Onion Soup.
I don't usually pay much attention to ambiance, but Annabelle Brasserie did a good job of using natural light. Even though it was a cloudy late afternoon, the interior was bright and cheerful. Our server was outstanding. She was a pleasant young woman who was attentive and friendly and did a great job explaining the dishes. Everything we ordered was as good or better than expected. There were 4 of us, and we tasted many of each other's dishes. The eacargot, caviar, charred octopus and foie gras were sublime. The short rib and New York strip were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and sauced. And the duck confit was delicious. This restaurant is now firmly in our rotation for special event dining!
Came here for Sunday brunch with friends and we loved it! Located just off Allen Parkway, there's a parking garage for self parking and also one for valet which is $8. The decor here is super cute both indoors and outdoors. The place is a fairly big size and packed during prime brunch time so I highly recommend making a reservation on Open Table. The food here is delicious! We had the deviled eggs which were great! We tried their infamous baguette with raclette - if you love cheese, you MUST get this!! It comes out hot and fresh and it's amazing. Between the 3 of us, we finished that baguette in 3 minutes! I had the Croque Madame and it was tasty as well but after the appetizers, I did struggle finishing it. The side salad it came with was light and fresh. My friend ordered the french toast and it was really good- not too sweet and it was a generous portion. I can't wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu! Super cute place for date night or a girls brunch! I would compare the decor to Little Hen but honestly the food here was way better and the service was very attentive.
If you're looking for a special occasion, Annabelle Brasserie is the place to be. When you walk in, you're immediately drawn to the decoration of the restaurant. It felt like we were in a botanical garden. All of the waiters and waitresses were very attentive, like that of a high-end restaurant. We were given great recommendations, which entailed a table, side cheese, and bread service with melting cheese, muscles frites , and a tuna salad. Definitely a fun place to celebrate your birthday or special occasion!
Came here for a lovely Saturday brunch; the ambiance cannot be beat. Gorgeous greenery and flowers hanging from the ceiling, lots of natural lighting, lush colors abound - if you are a picture person, this place needs to be on your list for that reason alone. For the main attraction, the food is all delicious. You must get the baguette with raclette - cheese lovers, this is for you. Their crepe and croque madame were also amazing - we left stuffed to the brim. Cocktails are also lovely; they do really nice spritzes. Top all of that with really great service. Parking - valet or garage (ask to be validated).
We both started with the shrimp cocktail and I am happy we did. It's a beautiful plate and the generous-sized shrimp were perfect with their cocktail sauce which was heavy on the horseradish side. You know it's very good cocktail sauce when it just starts to make your sinuses run a little bit. It was perfect! I would definitely come back for that again, and I'm glad we each ordered our own serving because it would've been a brutal fight over that odd numbered shrimp number five. For the entrée Mr. Picky ordered the Divers scallops and absolutely loved that plate. It was beautiful looking and the scallops were cooked absolutely perfect, not always an easy thing to do. I ordered Le Grande burger that comes with Raclette and that's really something as well. We both loved the cook on the meat, so juicy, and you cannot go wrong with caramelized onion and bacon and pickle with raclette. We shared the seasoned fries (yummy and perfect crunch) and both loved our main courses! Because the food had been so good, we decided to definitely go ahead and try dessert. We ordered the newest addition to the dessert menu which is the profiterole, and the Tarte Tatin which is a long-standing apple favorite of ours. Ordering two allows us to share and deal with the problem if one of us doesn't like something (swap the dish with your partner and dump the problem on them LOL). Honestly, the only "miss" on the meal was the profiterole dessert because it was just lacking textural variation (e.g., everything was soft and even the ice-cream was too soft for reasons I don't understand). The restaurant has a very cute ceiling that everyone talks about and as I look up, I can understand why, because it's just... Cute and pretty. Our waiter Adam did a great job giving advice and ensuring wonderful service. The general manager Haleigh stopped by to see how we enjoyed our meal. Overall, I'd give them 4.5 stars.
Took my mom out for brunch!! Annabelle Brasserie is known for its elegant ambiance and classic French cuisine. Reviews often highlight the quality of their dishes, the attentive service, and the sophisticated decor. Patrons frequently praise the authentic flavors and the carefully curated wine list. Some standout dishes include their coq au vin, escargot, and crème brûlée.
Aside from all the lower rated reviews, my friends and I had a lovely brunch here! I got a Bariana Spritz which was very light and refreshing for such a hot day in Houston. My friends and I split a pastry basket with an assortment of delicious pastries, and the croissants were some of the flakiest I've ever had! I got their Caesar Drip salad with steak that was cooked to perfection. It was large enough of a portion that I ended up taking some home. Our waitress was very attentive although it was such a busy Saturday afternoon, and the interior of the restaurant is a showstopper. Valet parking or paid garage parking is available. Would return for a celebratory meal, as prices are on the treat-worthy side of the scale in my books.
